synthetic emotions

synthetic emotion is all about the synthesized material emotions of the dancer's accessories. The dancer's body is engulfed by the costume the 'pleated silk saree', a visual assistant to map her minute and subtle expressions. In this set of exploratory mapping exercise; I examine the crease, the fold, the stretch, the pull and the twist of the rich silk with reference to the bodily pose or the dance gesture.

WEEK 4 PALIMPSEST

The Image is of the façade in the Great Windmill Street off Brewer Street in Soho. It Poses and captivates itself to be the perfect example of urban palimpsest; the noticeboard. The noticeboard here has been absorbed in time; all the layers of information and its erasure to emphasis on newer information is a very act of being palimpsest. Layers of information absorbed by the noticeboard can be stretched  like an accordion to orchestrate a narration or a musical.
